Your work is very, very inspirational, beautiful and tasteful. I will be buying your book "curves" soon. Thank you for leading the way for us and showing us what can be achieved.

[quote]John, you are a terrific shooter. But, care to tell us HOW you managed to win NUDE's contest two years in a row?? I'm sure a lot of us could learn a few things about how someone enters a contest and takes the top spot two years running. Like I said, you are a great shooter, but surely NUDE had enough people enter to make sure something like this didn't happen, no?
2009: http://www.theguildoferoticartists.com/index.php?a=sa&i=28
And this year:

As I understand it all images and entrants are anomalously judged so it's by chance that I've won both years - and I'd hope I won on that basis, e.g. mine was judged to be the best entry. I don't know how many entries they received as I'm not privy to that information, but I guess it will be quite a few as it's an international competition with prize money.
Yes I've set a precedence and as it's a fairly new competition, only in it's 4th year, I guess they hadn't factored this occurrence as a possibility in their rules. They have now introduced a rule that a previous overall winner cannot win the top spot again. I've been asked to judge next year's event which I very much look forward to.
I hope that answers your question.

The only constant in your portfolio is outstanding and breathtaking quality. Your work is always fresh and innovative your imagination and vision is remarkable. Most of you work is in a different league to us mere mortals. Every now and then you produce a shot that is just within reach, until we try and emulate it and then we find just like the others it is way out of our league.
Keep setting the pace and showing us what can be achived.

I keep looking at your portfolio for inspiration then am unable to get near the quality of your work, you have a very individual style that screams talent from every image.

There's waaaay too much stuff in here to click individually - it would take months :)
Consider this a global click from me - for a superb p/f chock full of inspirational and original work!
Cheers, Goggz

Leaving aside your quite evident mastery of the technical side of image making, you have the ability to bring out the "woman" in the female of our species. There are some achingly beautiful pictures in you portfolio. A pleasure to view,
Dave

I’ve just had a good rummage through your pics John and I think my favourite by a small slither of milk is "Thirst" although I do like a lot of your black + white work.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of it.

Hi John,
been a fellow admirer of the great Bob Carlos Clarke I can see where the inspiration comes from but in saying that you have also managed to carve yourself a style all your own from the careful use of lighting, model choice and propping. An area of photography which in my opinion is one of the hardest to do and do well, that you have achieved in abundance. My only wish is that I had access to some of the fine models at your disposal LOL. Keep up the great work, a joy to view a real master at his craft.
Take care Victor
