Now back from a few days caravanning in Tewkesbury. We had rain, sun, winds and hail - just another April day!!! And I had trouble with the electrics. It's good to be home.

This is very pretty, but was it 'pasted' onto a black background? The edges of some of the petals look a bit ragged, like a layer wasn't properly deleted in PS. If you go around the edges with a feathered brush that will help soften the edges a bit Grin

What there is of it is good, Ken......never easy to get white blooms correctly exposed.
I am not sure how you processed this shot but I agree with Alda in that some petals seem to have bits missing and the stem area looks chopped off artificially.
Perhaps you selected the bloom with the Quick Selection Tool??......if so it's always worth enlarging the image in Photoshop (or it's equivalent) so that the selection can be made more precisely.
Would be worth going back to the original and reprocessing as suggested.
I can't agree with Effrossini as there is room for improvement.
Sorry if this causes any offence, Ken, hopefully not.

Thanks so much for your comments on my Lily, which were very much appreciated. Of course there
Was no offence taken by me and I very much welcome such observations. In response to such words of advice I hope I will learn.

A nice shot, Ken, and do agree with above. If selecting a subject and putting it on a different background, it's always a good idea to feather or refine the edge by a pixel or two just to soften it slightly Smile
