A dark corner with paraphernalia from the past, very well captured, beautifully exposed (and I am surprised -1/3 was enough, Danny) and capturing all the detail and dark tones.
An image that will be quite nostalgic for many, bringing back memories of activities long gone.

As people have already said beautifully lit and well composed. Great shot.
Beautifully dim lighting and a wonderful feeling of the old workshop Danny, you can even get a hint of the sharp smalls of paraffin and oil catching at the back of the throat. I fancy this to be a well received series, hope so.

Tanfield, Danny, I remember the Pink Paraffin.
Better keep mum about the oil as Mick is rather sensitive Wink

Best still life arrangement in the North East, and available for free.
Good to get a hint of that red oilcan, and the Pink Paraffin label, both in the same shot.
Moira
Did someone say OIL, Danny you will be mentioned in dispatchers by the rust lovers lol, good light well exposed,

A wonderfully composed photograph Danny, one which certainly lends its self to many possible variants. Great use of the available light. GrinGrinGrin

What's all this about my dislike of oil ?
I find it rather attractive to see the pics of the girls in
the magazines I read covered in Baby Oil !!
Enough oil here Danny,to cover even Big Aggie I fancy !!
Good grotty shot.

Fabulous nostalgia, and the darkness is perfect for the subject.

Love the low light and subject matter, but I think perhaps the image needs a bit of straigtening up as the cans look as if they're falling over backwards and to the left a bit.

I do love these old oil cans Danny. Your image is a great representation of all the oil and grime.

Oor Ronnie puts it perfectly, Danny. Great title as well. The dark treatment suits the forgotten workshop corner very well.
