Just got a new Fuji S602 and trying out the super macro function. 3MP Fine mode / 1/125 sec / F3.5. Maybe need to increase the depth of field slightly - what do you think.

There's going to be no holding you now! I reckon this shot is good as it is. I think too much DOF would confuse the image by bring the background detail forward. As it is this shows the thickness of the slice,

i like this how did you light it? the s602 super macro is great but i wish the flash would fire.

Brian, Chris - thanks for the comments.

Lighting was very simple - 10 Watt tube light under an A4 sized glass sheet to give the backlight. Basically a home made light box!

Lovely graphic image and very creative .. lighting is excellent and gives a very nice translucence without losing texture. Fab! Frame's just right too ...
