Storm Light

We went to Norway on holiday, staying in Balestrand on The Sognefjord. We had thrilling views from our balcony and this one was taken on our last day there. Trying to pack we saw this light breaking through snow clouds ~ the packing had to wait! The ferry adds a little scale. The soaring fjord mountains were just awesome.

What a spectacular scene, superbly captured! The wild light in the clouds is extraordinary. I like the way that both the solitary bird in the upper left and the boat in the lower right convey the vast scale of fjord. Bob
