    thanks for the comments and advise ,tech settings are,8 sec shutter speed f8 iso was 200,apeture priority,tripod and a remote shutter release,18-55mm afs dx lens

    thanks for all the comments people , will try a few more , setting were as follows, 8sec shutter speed, f8,iso will be 200 that's the lowest I can go on my Nikon D40 x , lens was the nikor 18-55mm , tripod and a remote shutter was used.

    tricky shot to pull off ive tried and failed a few times ! try using a macro lens or a set of close up rings ,i did and got a bit better results.still a good photo
