Depth Exposed

By lifesnapper
Hi all and a great BIG thank you for your kind Words and votes on my 'Minute Model 2', very much appreciated.
Today something completely different. A Stem and Stern comp' of the HMS Gannet , moored up in Chatham Dockyard. (I'm not sure if my terminology is correct, so I'll call it ,front and back)Smile
I have a large selection of pictures from the Historical Dockyard which I'll upload shortly, including the amazing Ropery, the only one of its kind in the World. Meanwhile , I hope you like these two images for starters.

Have a great Weekend and all the best to all,

John Smile

Two superb images John
Great idea. I like the tighter composition in v2 which has a more abstract quality Wink

Two very tasty shots, John; the symmetry in both is most pleasing. I like V1 in particular, with the truncated diamond shape formed by the shadows of the chain being remarkable. Worth a b&w, I think - I might just have a go at one later.

Two interesting nautically associated compositions, I particularly like the symmetry in image number one...

The symmetry looks good, John, but v2 has the better balance. I didn't know the Romans had metal ships though!! Grin

Stem & Stern, front & back, sharp end/blunt end, t1ts & bumsWink
As we say in Norwegian, children who are loved have many names...

V1 has many possibilities, as Bill said.

Hope you didn't fall in trying to get a closer crop, John.Tongue
