I like it, but for me there is a little too much shadow around the right eye.

With kids I think you need to work fast, keep it fun and have a variety of props to hand should boredom start to creep in! These are a superb set of images. I enjoy them all and it looks as if Grace was very relaxed with you. Just wondering what she leaning on in V3? Is it a soft toy and can I see a trunk?

V1 is lovely. Don't be seduced down the flat even boring lighting road.

What a pretty little model and 3 wonderful images! Barbarba is right about keeping things interesting for someone so young and keeping things moving as they generally have short attention spans! You have captured such a ssnse of delight flowing from her and those eyes sparkle with it, so reckon you got it right! Think for me they are in the right order and if I'd been paying you for this portrait work, would be over the moon to have them!

Such a cute set of images....well lit in my opinion. The tiny bits of shadow are, technically, probably wrong, but for me, thats really, really picking. There is nothing wrong with shadow as how many times do yu speak to people or look at someone and there ISN'T shadow on their face? It brings depth and character and I for one wouldn't change this at all. Lovely trio of images!

one is best...you need to use another light to seperate the subject from the backdrop and/or move the subject further away if at all possible.

Many years ago I did a whole nusery school and learnt a few hard facts...Never ever if your doing a lot of kids mention that any one would make a good model for cataloge's or anything that makes you look like you are favoring any one child..the rest get the hump !

Never take more shots of one child over another unless you can justify the extra attention...

Always get an assistant to give you a hand with props etc..or rope in the person who is the "guardian"...ie chose you too do the shoot...your sucsess is linked to how she/he gets on with you assuming the photos are perfection.

Do not offer that person any special deals..it will come back to haunt you!

Find some good tranquilisers....not for you but to slip to the darling's you intend to shoot(er yes literaly).....

Last but not least enjoy the day!

I don't normally comment on child photographs as, without being harsh, they are usually fairly average and lack imagination. This, however, is an exceptional set of child portraits.

Top quality work.
