Another 'refurbished' shot, drum-scanned and re-processed...

This is the small settlement of Revöira, consisting of around 20 or so huts similar to these halfway up a muntain and with no road access. These large basins, hewn from blocks of solid granite, are used by the inhabitants to obtain drinking water - there being no natural springs, the only option is to collect rainwater of which there is plenty. Nowadays, some of the huts are being restored as 'rusticos' or rustic summer houses with 'character', where people can go to get away from it all...

Some huts reminding me of a part of Portugal we visited-- Even had the stone basins-- Thanks for this fine view!
