Reflections on granite

By joolsb
I don't very often repeat compositions but this is one time that I did. Two years later...

This is, once again, the fantastic rock formations of the Verzasca Valley near Lavertezzo in southern Switzerland and in this shot I tried to play the reflection of the mountain off against the underwater detail of the rockpool itself.

Ahhhh the aura of Ebony!

A belter Julian.

I've just looked at it in dark cloth manner and think that this is even more ambiguous if inverted. What looks like an eroded pocket here seems to transform and come out from the screen.

Sky must have been really vivid if this is with an 81B.

Do you remember wide angle lenses?!

outstanding image graphically really very fine. i would ask though simply because i have encountered similar effects on images such as these (with reflections) do you think the slightly out of focus or slightly soft reflection of the mountain is a result of dof or just a phenomena of these types of images? i have experimented on self portraits & mirrors & found altering the aperture gives a sharp reflection. just a point for discussion, your portfolio is a little gem by the way.
