Lucy Shoot 2

By joshwa
This is another shoot with Lucy, this time with the Nikon D5300, and 50mm f/1.4 lens.

I've uploaded the black and white (hi-key), another hi-key colour version, as well as the colour photo, in the versions.

Really nice. I remember the last upload.

The colour original I like most, though the others are al good. What I notice in the original, which is les apparent in the mono, is that her near eye is not quite sharp.

I did upload mods, the colour with the eye sharper, space added on the left, and the bright highlights on her nose toned down; and a mono conversion using a Red filter. View mods large.

What was odd is that when I downloaded the original, it downloaded as a mono. with the Adobe Camera Raw dialogue, showing how you converted to mono by turning sat to zero. It works, but its not the best way to do a mono conversion. Which version of Photoshop do you have? The ACR dialogue also shows you are not using the latest Camera Raw Process, btw.

Nice work from both of you,

regards

Like this set Josh. She reminds me of a younger Joanna Lumley in these portraits.

I find the large bright bokeh above her distracting and would be tempted to tone it down.

Fine capture of a striking beauty.
