Coin tree, Dovedale, in the English Peak District.

Simply thrilled to receive U.A.s for yesterday's upload from Alan whatriveristhis and Dougie Scottishlandscapes . My compliments and my thanks to both.

I thought it was threshing sled with coin instead of flint blades set in the bottom, Bill. A very interesting mono. sample

Nicely aligned on the diagonal with the 1p on the thirds. Classic composition with the Woolybill treatment.

Great idea for a frame-filling close-up, Bill, and SO well taken. The composition and exposure are spotless.

Bravo Smile

I have hid my money in a few obscure places in the past Bill,
but it is a barking mad idea this one !!
Interesting shot.

I wonder what the origin of this tradition was. A very odd practice, and not as safe as a piggy bank.

Your work has a style all of its own Bill , you spot what others miss, this been one of them, good way to stop spending money maybe all the banks should have one, then we all would be better off.
