Both are superb, but I definitely prefer V2 for its simplicity. That one deserves its own slot... Not surprised to see Rende's UA already here, I thought for a moment it was his work.

V2 for the golden mean and i would love to see the V1 with the leaf a little bit lower and to the left.... I am picking now, both are brilliant images.

Well V1 is for me - and my award. I prefer the composition, and the exposure is better handled - bringing out a greater degree of texture in the painted wooden surface (the top 1/3 of the yellow section in V2 is without detail and appears on my monitor as a block of colour - albeit this could be a calibration issue my end). The texture of the leaf in V1 is also sublime.

Both are beautiful, but V1 clinches it for me because of the light on the spine of the leaf ... such a simple image, and yet it's so very powerful in that simplicity.
