Blue Tailed Bee Eater

By jove
One of my favourite shots form our holiday in Goa.
This is a Blue Tailed Bee Eater.
These birds did not want to keep still long enough to have their photo took, they kept flittering about all over the place, so this is probally my best shot.
Most of the exotic birds we saw tended to stay high up in the trees, so we were very happy to get a shot like this one.
I hope you all like it.

I must agree with you, the bee eaters in the Kalahari were just as busy and were so difficult to try and photograph. You have done extremely well with this capture!

Love bea eaters! Saw them mostly in Gujarat- as you say, they flit in and out of the flowers. Never got a good shot . This is lovely.
