Lion at Chester Zoo

By jove
Hi.
Had a day out at Chester Zoo the other day and I found this a fairly difficult shot to take.
Firstly it was the chain link fence of which I seem to have managed this one fairly good shot.
Secondly it is this very low in the sky very bright and harsh winter sun.
My wife has said and she may be correct (usually is) that a slightly cloudy day may have been better.
Never mind, this is my first Lion capture and after a crop and some sharpening it appears to have come out OK.
Comments are very welcome be they good or bad.
Joe.

Mmmmmm, the light certainly wasn't kind for you here Joe, very contrasty (your wife was right), but it's a nice composition.

You've handled the link fence really well, I can't see any evidence of it. The lion has a good pose, he looks very regal. Well done. Tracey
