Chrysanth glow

By jstock
Weather outside is alternating between truly dull and completely crazy storms. So, back to indoor shots.

I've setup a light tent so that I can get more subtle lighting effects. This is my attempt at a more abstract view of the disk of a chrysanthemum.

I don't have very powerful lights, so this was 10 seconds at f22. I was really close so I needed to stop down to get some dof.

I've tried to keep the colours and photoshop treatment fairly subtle.

Was this handheld?? Wink
Joking aside, I really like the effect of the long exposure on this shot. The flower has a lovely softness to it, yet is well detailed. Nice work.

Great close up Jon it has a real nice softness to it and I particularly like the offcentre composition.
