Smoke on the Water

By jules41
-7C at 6am and boy was it freezing.
Went down to Llangorse Lake early morning with Andrew(proberts),the mist was really thick at one point and thought i may not get a shot of the sunrise colours seeping thru.
Finally it lifted a little, and was well worth the pain in my fingers and toes when they started to come back to life from the cold :o}
Many thanks for all your views and comments.

Has this been in a photography mag before? If not it should be! Reading your description I have to admire the effort made to get the shot, but I think everyone will agree it's been more than worth it, I can't find any fault with this shot at all.

Pure quality ... great lighting and wonderful composition. Not sure how much post production you did but the smoothness of the water and the saturation and sharpness of the boat really make this leap off the screen.

Visited the area this morning and found Andrew and Steve already in position. Andrew mentioned that the mist was better yesterday and this image shows how right he was. This is just superb and worth getting a little cold for. Quality always shows through.
