Grand Avenue Shelter

By Juliee
Wandering back to the car after the Brighton night meet last night, I liked this backlit shelter.
I considered turning this mono, but somehow it made it too clean.

Your thoughts and opinions are welcome as usual.

I like this one, and the light trails in the background add to the image as well. My only minor quibble or two is the flare(?) on the top left corner of the shelter which can be easily cloned out and the missing decor on the top of the shelter, over which you obviously had no control.

That sky also appears to be very noise free Tongue

Ah yes, my usual trick of missing obvious flaws! I think that might be flare yes, maybe caused by water streaks on the lens.
I did have a go at mending the roof Smile but the gap appears to be too big for one sticky uppy bit and too small for two of them....odd..

Looked at this several times since you uploaded it so a considered comment.
It appears to me that the apartments on the left & right are sharper / more in focus, than the windows on the shelter which is where, perhaps, the focus of attention is.
It may be that the glass is so badly smeared it will never be in focus, but that is the impression I am getting.

The strip of light at the bottom of the shelter is a nice separation feature between it and the pavement stopping the whole thing merging into a black mass

Nice to see a red telephone box, not many around these days, so a bit of nostalgia there ( press button A ) Wink
