A quick view of junglecat's recent activity.

  • Old & New

Strong composition here - the angle works well. However, to my eye it seems the horizon seems to be slightly curving downwards? Or do I need my eyes testing..

Excellent shot with some lovely detail in the wings.

I wonder if some cropping could be done here? The region to the right of the butterfly doesn't add much for me.

Excellent, clean shot of a lovely bird.

  • Poppy, must try harder

I always like flower shots with a shallow DOF to isolate on a small part of the frame. I agree with both of the above: a cropping could reduce the impact of the top one and allow the unopened poppy to stand out further.

  • The Signs of Winter

I like the grain in this shot - it adds a little bit extra. I also like the composition with the line of branches sticking out of the snow drawing the eye to the tree on the horizon.

The one point I would mention is that I find the central bright area (from the sun?) a little bit distracting.

  • Frog on the ....

I take it you must have cleaned the car very recently? Not a single spot of mud!

Excellent shot this - the idea really paid off.
