Wild Kestrel

Spent several enjoyable days watching and photographing this wild Kestrel hunting for food.
On the full size version you can clearly see a fair bit of blood and fur stuck to his beak from a recent successful hunt,no doubt an unfortunate vole was the victim.

cracking capture, got very close to one yesterday, raised the camera, in the hope of getting a similar shot... but the lens cap was still on and I was sure it was in my pocket!
