Lone Rider

By K_T
The Lone Rider is a guy with attitude who rides alone though the Atlas mountains looking for trade to survive.

This image is composite from two images.

The background with the bike and Atlas mountains was taken on my recent trip to Marrakesh. We hired a taxi to take us out to the mountain and came across this amazing view with tinkers selling bits of goods for money. This bike was one of theirs that they used to get to this location.

The guy was taken at Whitby at the goth weekend, which is getting more popular with the steampunks.

I thought he went well in this scene due to his goggles and leather jacket.

The lightening needed changing so it matched the lighting on the bike.

I don't normally do mid length composites, but this guy just looked weak full length.

The ideas OK, but the bikes levitating, you can see under the backwheel, front wheel, and stand needs work on the shadow to ground it. Like the concept tho.

The bike has not been put in, it is as it was on the mountain side.

See what you mean though, but I don't really fancy adding things in to the natural photo elements....might have no choice though if it looks added =/

I'll add the scene photo so you can see it from a wider point of view.

You have done a good job of combining the photos. The guy fits well with the rest of the image, although I was wondering how he kept that hairdo if he had used the helmet when he rode there! Of course now I understand. LOL

The bike is sharper than the plane of focus.

Odd recession , but cool light.

I love what you have done with the colours. Will have to have a closer look at the rest of your portfolio later.

I don't think the bike looks added. If a motorbike has a centre stand, as opposed to a side stand, one of the wheels will be off the ground. This is known as 'the law of gravity' Wink
