The Keeper's Wife

By K_T
The Keepers Wife tells the story of a young beautiful wife missing her soul mate who works away for months at a time on a remote island to keep ships away from the rocky shores.

She misses him dearly, but knows what must be, must be.

The image: The seascape was my first attempt with Lee's big stopper...only I could ruin I perfectly good slow shutter shot =P The location is Wales at Bracelet Bay and the Lighthouse was outside the amusements arcade, it was actually only about 3 foot high. The original island did have a lighthouse, but it was one of them modern boring looking ones. The sky is a combination of two skies as i wanted to give that back lit feel to the image, but I needed to soften the strong highlights on the cloud fringing. The lady was a model shot in studio for the purpose of this image.

Same here and apart from this being a wonderfully atmospheric image, it is so good to read from your description how the various components of the image were achieved and shot. Superb.
