  • F35B Hovering

Aircraft has come out well in the adjustment made at the expense of the sky. I do try and keep sky looking
as natural as possible although I admit against a low contrast aeroplane our murky greys and blues don't do the subject matter any favours.

The original image needed lightening slightly to bring out detail in the under-wing shadow...maybe have just over done it.

Thanks for taking the time...always useful to view something through someone elses eyes.

  • His 'n Hers

Thanks all for your comments and votes.

I couldn't believe the diameter of the lens hood on the Nikon...it was like a waste paper basket on the end. The guy using it looks like he might have had a bad back later...his partner seems to have acquired a much better posture.

Hopefully they both got some fab images to compensate.

  • Lockheed Martin F-35

Great shot. It was incredibly noisy wasn't it...probably led to a few appointments for people who suddenly discovered they were going deaf...hearing aid manufacturers should do quite well out of it

Just a shame given the huge cost to taxpayers (the most expensive human endeavor ever undertaken) that it looks like being a complete lemon...Canada is looking to cancel their order for the F35A.

  • German Typhoon

Excellent...great artwork on the aircraft as well. Would have liked to have seen this fly but didn't move from static on the saturday.

Was this as it was leaving RIAT?

  • Frecce Tricolori Italian Air Force on take-off

Thanks guys. Yeah, it was a shame the Frecce flew so early, they definitely would have benefitted from the weather later on.

Yes, I did wonder about including the trailer or not but decided on balance I quite liked it being there.

  • Condor Boeing B757-300 taking Off

Thanks for your vote and comment Tony. I've just checked online with seatguru and apparently they have 'only' 262 seats...236 economy plus 26 premium economy...so the same capacity as about 5 50 odd seater coaches.

They do look a bit too long and thin though don't they...reminds me of the McDonnell Douglas DC-8-60 series from the 1960s and 70s.

Looking at the EXIF (which I meant to do before I posted the image) lens was Tamron 70-300DiLD not Pentax 18-135. My son and I swapped lenses about this time...hence my confusion!

Apologies...lens used was Tamron 70-300LD not 18-55...it's been a long day.
