  • Just Needs a Lick of Paint ...

No it's not HDR but I have boosted local contrast a bit which gives a similar appearance - Cheers, Andy

Thanks for the comments + votes. Garr8, My 10-22 is a Canon EFS 10-22 I usually set it up to be hyperfocal - manually focus at 0.5m @ f11 for shots like this.

  • HDR Sunset

Great colours in the sky. I wonder whether HDR is overkill for this particular image ? Probably during processing you could have pulled out some detail in the shadows which is what HDR is particularily good for. However for this shot you obviously wanted the trees to be in silhouette which could have been done with a single exposure. Not a criticism just an observation.

  • BENDY BRIDGE

Superb image, thanks for the comments on my shot of the bridge - yours is from the other side of the river and I havn't been able to work out how to get to this spot I'll have to try again although not at 6.30 couldn't get up that early if I tried.

  • The Bridestones

Sometimes you can rescue detail from a washed out sky particularily if you shoot RAW (much greater dynamic range). However with the uploaded jpeg the sky is almost completely blown out so you'll have to cheat and either colour the sky with an appropriate (grad?) cyan/blue or blend in a sky from another image - see my mod. Of course in hindsight on the day you could have used a grad filter or HDR.

  • Reflections

Welcome to EPZ Norma. Great reflections but IMHO I think you needed to change your viewpoint slightly as the tree branches are obscuring your main subject the bridge. Perhaps moving away down the riverbank and then zooming back in may have given you a better angle. The branches also seem to be a little out of focus so a smaller aperture might have worked better giving you a greater depth of field.
