White-browed Woodswallow

By KangaGal
Hi all, Last week I went to Dreamworld where most people go for rides. However, they also have 3 m.o. tiger cubs - which were ridiculously hard to photograph with smeary, bright, relecting, glass.
They also have a wonderful bird aviary and noctural house, also a good Oz section, so I stayed the whole day enjoying the wildlife and didn't go near a ride except to get a couple of shots.
This bird and its mate were conveniently nesting but tended to nick off each time they saw the dreaded lens. Luckily this one paused allowing this shot. Hope it hasn't lost too much in the resizing - it 'was' really sharp.
Thanks for all the cc's on the beardies.
To all you epz dads - 'Happy fathers' day'.

Another great wildlife shot from you Jenny. I was trying to work out what that was in its nest, paper? plastic?
I take it that its Fathers Day in Oz 'cos its in June in the UK. As Mothers day is in March (at least in the UK) we always say Fathers day is nine months before Mothers daySmile
I read that its best to shoot at an angle through glass and also set your focus to infinity or manual. Never tried it though. Carry a bottle of window cleaner and a duster by the sound of it too.
