Robin

By KarenFB
Yesterday there was a big bump and when I dashed outside I found this little one, on its back! I thought it would die, of shock if nothing else - but after a bit of a cuddle and then placing it on the covered bird table about half an hour later it flew away into the trees! Smile (The cats were left a bit disgruntled because they'd been shut in and had spent the time watching him from the window cill!).

Hand held photo taken through the window (so I wouldn't frighten him). I would have liked the whole of the Robin, but the bird house isn't very big and things got in the way!

Version 1 is the same bird in our large cherry tree.

Another saved ( does your glass appear clear, if so put raptor shapes on the windows and they will avoid the glazed area ) I presume you already know this Karen

Thanks everyone! Smile

Steve, Mike, Mal, Peter & Malcolm: Thank you all for your precious User Awards, they are very appreciated!

Ron: Yes, I knew of that trick - You've got to wonder why birds think it's a good idea to fly into a dark room! I think it was just a young bird not having full control of its wings yet! Smile

Super, charming capture. Well done.
So glad the little one recovered with your care.

I have put pretty stained glass hanger ornaments in my back windows to
help the birds see they can't just fly right through.
