cloth dyeworks

By kasv
In Jodhpur, we had the opportunity to visit a cloth dyeworks. This shot was taken directly above the site, where the dye was applied using a silk screen. Thereafter, it went up for drying in the sun, then to the next station, where the color was being fixed to the fabric. The entire sites surrounding was sprinkled in different tones of various colours they were apprently using there. Apparently, neither modern ecological standards were followed, nor did they create a work environment, that respected the peoples needs. But given the circumstances and what we knew or expected from India, we were not surprized seing that. Thanks for looking.
