You have done really well with your squirrels, Kathryn, and this one ticks all the boxes for a landscape format, although I see no reason why you couldn't take a bit off the right side, to make the squirrel even less central.
I'd like to give you an idea for a vertical format and its composition, and so have done a modification which shows a crop and canvas added at the bottom. I haven't gone to the trouble of cloning detail into the added canvas as this was just to show you the vertical format with the squirrel's eye placed on the top left thirds intersection. If you have a thirds grid on your camera, you can have it on your screen so that, when shooting, it's easier to compose in this way, and it saves cropping afterwards. I also find it useful for getting lines straight in the frame.
