Reaping

By KathyW
It's that time of year when the machinery reps do the rounds, fuelled by rumours of increasing grain prices, order books clasped in their sweaty paws, hoping that the farmers will have already been to see the bank manager. The John Deere rep seemed to be in a particularly buoyant mood, so the farmer next door probably isn't...

Meanwhile all I have is pics of this old heap!

One of those "not sure if I like it in colour or mono" moments. You decide Smile

Thanks for looking - all comments welcome, keen to improve as people are already booking DVDs of pics for next harvest!

Thanks, Kathy

I like both of these, the mono has been done really well but the colours are just edging it for #1 Smile

This is an excellent image Kathy.99 times out of 100 I would go for "colour" but in this case I think the mono version is magnificent.

Both images are really good, but I think the John Deere green angainst the colour of the wheat and the sky, gets my vote.

Looking at the B&W version was quite a shock. I had no idea green would look so good in B&W. So I'll go with #2! And somehow the people inside are better seen in the B&W version.

Thank you all for stopping by & taking time to comment & vote Smile

I Think I'm going against the grain & picking the B&W version as my favourite... Then again, I kind of like the colours...

Thanks again!

There's something about machines and mono that work for me. Both are great, but the mono has the edge.
