Oh my word! Now that looks grumpy! Great shot Grin

THREE PEELERS by martiuk

Quirky stuff. I rather like it! I wonder if it might benefit from a little lift exposure-wise? It might reveal more of the left side of the image.

Lovely set - I like the second one with the light trails of the boat. Good work - it takes a lot of patience!

Both lovely compositions and super colour.

Izabella by digitalnovice

That's quite charming - I like her pose and she looks like she's quite relaxed. The lighting is ideal - it's soft and diffuse - but her face is a little too soft. It would be great to see her eyes sharp and sparkling. Looking at the EXIF data, I see the shutter speed was only 1/15 of a second. That's really a bit too slow to handhold. Try raising your ISO slightly until you get to 1/60 or 1/100... and hope she doesn't wriggle!

That's a cutie! Looks a really fresh one. It looks like you may have focussed on the stalk rather than the cap, though. Always move the focus point a couple of times and vary the aperture just to give yourself some options. That's what I do. Doesn't always work, mind!

Pensioners... by Greyheron

Great grouping. Is there some fill flash or a reflector?

Teasel-tastic! Love the backlighting.

Another really great composition. I wonder if there is a little motion blur here, though, as that centre of the flower isn't as sharp as your previous upload - I see that the shutter speed was 1/60 but it could still have jiggled slightly. That could be why the blur/sharpen isn't working as well as it might. Just a tiny bit more light would really help things.

Great composition and colours - and the mods do really make a difference.

Lovely macro - just shows how great some of the compact cameras can be.

You always post great quality work - I am particularly impressed with this year's 'shrooms. Really lovely pf.

I think you have a great eye for a shot. I particularly like your black and white work and the abstract stuff. Glad you're back.

Your natural world shots are really attractive. I think your most recent flowers and insects are high quality. Clean and simple compositions and well exposed.

Added Date: 07/12/2005 - 6:49 AM

You have some great landscape shots, but I have to say that it is the fungi that I love. They are really well exposed, full of detail, oh, and cute as hell!

Added Date: 12/12/2005 - 6:25 AM

Although I know you love architectural photography, I think your portraits are sensitive and thoughtful. More, please!

Added Date: 07/12/2005 - 6:47 AM

You have some really lovely, unusual shots which are well presented.

Added Date: 07/12/2005 - 6:41 AM

Now you've removed your first lot of photos this won't make much sense, but ... you've improved a lot since you first posted on the site. Your eye sees better pictures and you understand your camera better. So stop buying new kit and save up for those beautiful locations!! ;o)

Added Date: 12/12/2005 - 6:23 AM

You have some really good stuff, Trev. Your landscapes are my favourites.

Added Date: 12/12/2005 - 6:21 AM

I am very comfortable with your style of photography - I think maybe we have similar visual ideas. I like the simplicity of your composition and variety of subjects.

Added Date: 12/12/2005 - 6:16 AM

Lovely varied, colourful, attractive pics. Looking good!

Added Date: 07/12/2005 - 6:24 AM

Your shots get better and better, but you make it look so easy that they belie your extreme diligence! Each should be accompanied by a storyboard to show the work that goes into them. Oh, and you are a truly nice bloke. *mwah*

You've got some really good stuff in your pf, Paul. I think your best works are the architectural scenes and abstracts - interesting and unusual. More, please!
