deviously deviant

By KatrienaEmmanuel
It always amazes me of the photos I take, what I seem to like, others don't really like and then at times its vice versa...

what makes a good photo, what makes someone take a double take, a closer look, grabs them!???

Just feeling a bit demotivated at the moment.

PS, edited this photo to b&w adjustment layer, leaving the eye in the lighted side coloured naturally and applied to skin diffuser glow filter. Simple but I like the light and shade in this photo

I love the lighting in this shot too and a lovely pose , the model has a great face. The only thing I'd change is the border/frame, I think it distracts from the lovely image too much :o)

Lorraine.

P.s I know what you mean by demotivated, Im the same at the moment. Hopefully the nicer weather will drag me out of my 'I hate all my photos' phase !

You shouldn't feel demotivated, you have some really great shots in your portfolio and I suspect everyone gets that feeling about people liking the shots they don't and vice versa I know I do with my stuff.

I take the view that in the end what matters is whether I am happy with my stuff not anyone else as it's my wall it's going on. For what it's worth though I am surprised your work doesn't get more votes Smile

I'd like to echo what warriorpoet said above. I feel the same at the moment. But the only person you should be trying to please with your photos is yourself. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc etc. Keep up what you believe to be your good work. As for the shot, I think its excellent as that's why im on your page writing this in the first place. It's a great conversion with really nice lighting.
