Not A Bubble

By kaybee
A glass ball placed on top of a bottle in the garden.
The image was then rotated 180 degrees and the top of the bottle removed.

The image isn't great and the lighting was all wrong - but it was a firt attempt using it and lessons have been learnt.

This is rather lovely. I wonder how far you have worked on light? I think there's scope for improvement, even a simple Levels tweak, pushing the left and middle sliders a bit to the right, could be helpful.
One thing I have found is that if you take a photo specifically with a view to flipping it upside down, focusing requirements change. Best to focus a bit above the centre of the view in the ball as you see it in the camera, so on the patio, as that will be the eventual foreground.

Thanks for that Moira - I will try your focusing tip the next time.
I didn't actually do anything other than flip it and remove the bottle because, to be honest, I wasn't intending on posting it as I wasn't that impressed with it due to the poor subject matter in it......but I will go back and play with it later.
