A superb pet portrait, and perfectly timed for the raised paw and the curve of her tail... not just a 'snap,' but a real picture.
I'd maybe just want to lift the shadows a touch, to make it a little clearer that she's carrying a ball in her mouth.

Thank you Alan your comments are very much appreciated I am not good with the elements 12 but I will have a go.
Do I just lighten the whole image.

I use Elements 10, so 12 is probably not much different...

In the Editor, select "Enhance" from the menu bar along the top.
Then from the drop-down menu, select "Adjust lighting."
That will give you a further menu, with 3 options. Select the first one... "Shadows/Highlights."
In the dialogue box that appears, there will be 3 sliders. Move the top one ( "Lighten Shadows" ) until it looks right to you... On my Elements 10, the starting value is preset to 25% rather than 0%, though I don't know why they did that. If yours is the same, don't worry about it, just move the slider to where you want it ( I would suggest maybe 20% ), then click "OK."
Then "File" / Save, then "File" / Close.
Job done.

Thank you Allan. I will have a play with it later when I am on the computer.
