Natural abstract

By KaysCamera
Wet weather challenged me to something I havent seen much of in the gallery - RAIN! I got to the river as it downpoured and didn't want to get out of the car, so I took a macro shot through the windscreen. I only altered the tones of highlight and shadow on the comp, otherwise it's as taken.

It's a very nice effect and is a good example of how the irregular of reality still outdoes the filters ...when available of course! ;o) I'm not too sure on some of the shapes in the image as they seem to visually jar a little but an interesting result nevertheless.

Well that's pretty good for out of the car window on a rainy day. The sun will come out again and then you can really play. Den

I really like this because as you say, its different. very good lighting even though the camera would have exposed on the windscreen and the blury DOF really does make it look like an abstract painting *click*

Thanks for the comments. I wasn't sure how this one would go down. You should see it without the simple tone adjustments, just a dull grey rainy day! Thanks for looking.
