What a fantastic Kingfisher photo not a hope and shoot one but from someone who knows what he is doing but most of all your passion for wildlife and nature really comes through Keith.
I don't think that I would have tried anything to improve this or indeed waited for a better moment perfections springs to mind and with nature you have to take that moment, love the out stretched wings love those colours and of course the detail and the camera skills are superb the diffused light is for the a must for any form of nature photography such as this, even the diagonal composition of that twig the bird is perched on is right for the subject and that plain muted background greens are a perfect foil for the Kingfisher to pop out from, if this were mine I would be knocking on the RSPB door and try to sell this to them is of course if you have not done so already!
A first class piece of nature photography at its best.
