Looks better now Smile Sorry to be even more annoying but it'd also look better if you cloned out the horizontal stem on both sides of the wings.

Well taken, I am practising hard now at taking butterfly images; not managed to get a really decent one of these yet.

The butterfly is brilliant, with this camera it was probably about as close as you could get. If you had a macro lens and DSLR you could get closer and avoid the background clutter, which would become a mere blur.

This is one of my favourtie species!

A great macro of a Tortoiseshell Butterfly in natural surroundings .They never rest where you'd really like them to do they ? Wonderful colours .
