Coppice CCXXXVIII

By tomcat
I returned from The Coppice this morning, battered & bruised, after spending several hours fighting harsh light & dark shadowsGrinWink

Today was the day when the Nuthatches Sitta europaea, finally decided to visit the feed station at regular intervals, or at least when I have been thereSmile
This is one of several images I managed in the difficult conditions.
There is a clay shoot in the field tomorrow, so it would have been next weekend, before I could be out with the camera again.
I had the odd Hornet for company, but they left me well aloneTongue

Great colours and details. Nice seeing a rather different pose of a Nutty too. Our local ones have been missing all summer but have reappeared over the past week.

We all welcome this sun Adrian but for photo purposes this is just a bit too harsh and strong.
You have done well to control this one.
