This shot was taken at Brown Bluff in Antarctica, I spent over an hour just sitting on the beach watching these little fella's waddle past me. They were'nt interested at all about the 80 or so odd looking tourists all running round with strange boxes up to their eyes. It was a fasinating and very humbling experience.

Brilliant work ... and fabulous timing to catch him mid-stride. This put a big smile on my dial - these little fellas have so much personality!

Susie :o)

PS Penguin fact (which given your up close and personal encounter you may already know but, if not, may be worthwhile for your next trivia night) ... a group of penguins ashore is known as 'a parcel' whilst a group of penguins at sea is known as 'a raft'.
PPS Why is it I can remember that, but not my car registration number? :o)
