Mono challenge Day 4

Long exposure using Lee Big Stopper of Lone sycamore at sycamore gap , this might be the first mono shot i have done with the idea that it was going to be mono from the start and not just an after thought , cheers for taking a look . Kel

I love the composition and the way the shirt is lit - the highlights in the foreground add much to the shot.

Lovely composition; the tree silhouette's beautifully and as Jeremy says, that shaft of light on the ground leads in well from the right. I'd almost be tempted to lose the brighter FG rocks on the bottom right as they lead the eye out of frame a bit; a combination of cropping and cloning out would do it. I really like the way the clouds weave their way upwards from the tree.

I tend to agree with Alans comment re darkening the foreground rocks but even so its a superb image full of atmosphere.

Works so perfectly in mono - colour would just be a distraction. It has all the mystery and magic it needs.
