Moon Landing

By kel55
used extension tubes on 105 mm macro lens to get this shot of some sort of flying ant , another holiday shot , unusual texture of wall made my think of a moon surface , used a torch in front of insect for the lighting effect, cheers for taking a look, also thanks to everyone who voted and gave awards to open doors , never expected it to do so well ,cheers Kel

Great capture, it does look like an alien landing on the moon

Really nice image Smile I've never used extension tubes but would like to give them a go at some point.

Such an appropriate title, Kel!
The focus on the eyes is so accurate and draws your eyes straight to them.
Creative use of a torch for the background.
All in all, a superb image!SmileSmile
Hope you had a great holiday!

Quite a surrreal effect but you got the compund eyes pin sharp from the look of this one and the symmetrical comp works well.
