slip sliding away

By kel55
early morning start at Dunstanburgh castle , great place with deep family ties , tried to get this shot couple of years ago with brother in law (Almiles) but dodgy knees kept me from getting across in my opinion the most slippery rounded rocks in existence , in better condition now an got the shot ( instead of just taking Als dog for a walk ) cheers for taking a look , Kel.

Classic comp, great surf action and appealing pastel tones. Very atmospheric and I know exactly what you mean about those rocks. Great place to trash some kit or break a leg. I've escaped unscathed - with a few close shaves on those sea-greased dino eggs - on three occasions. I wouldn't want to tempt fate though Tongue

Looks great Kel, nice DoF and the water spray is perfect. I also think you have balanced the comp well which is not easy when the castle and shore lie to the right of the frame. I hope to get a look at my dunstanburgh shots tomorrow but doubt they will be as good as this. I reckon you should try and get back there later in the year when the sun will probably be rising behind the castle and at an even more civilised time of day!

These slippery pebbles have deterred me too, not the sort of place to turn an ankle.
You did well getting this shot and I bet you felt good when you got back to the gold course.
