WHITECHAPEL 510

WHITECHAPEL 510 by keithh

Looking good so far that no doubt will be worked on further. There seems a few on here that work in this genre all legal and above board.
Still Life sounds better than Table Top Wink

Noted by a Location Spotter for a Film company no doubt.

the old shop

the old shop by jocas

Some care taken in its style when it was built.
I love old decaying buildings including sheds and this a a gem.
The winter will have only a marginal effect while brutal demolition for other means would be a sad day, for photographers that is, with others its an eyesore.

Forty Shillings is 2
Remarkable good condition if taken when the currency was in circulation although I suspect a bit of eccentricity Wink

This model was my first SLR bought many moons ago second hand then part exchanged for an LX later.

Stallions

Stallions by AnnChown

This deserves a big print for the wall.
Every so often its a shot you know is the one.

cobbles

cobbles by Alanpaul

If I may point out that these are granite sets that are often descibed as "cobbles" which are very different and rare to find.

Version 1 is by far more dramatic than the colour version that detracts

Bullrushes

Bullrushes by hedison

The Bulrush, or Reed Mace as is known in the UK, has distinctive shapes. A spot I know has seen them battered over the last few years and this year will be no different. Working in B&W helps to make them dramatic.

Foggy Trees at Darley

Foggy Trees at Darley by ade_mcfade

One of those B&W images that somehow work better as a print than on a screen.

Reflections

Reflections by doverpic

There is no colour to speak of that would lead me to treat this as B&W.
It has all the elements for an interesting image in monochrome..

Reflect some light on the bottles with a simple reflector.
Take a viewpoint from the other side.

On The Tunnel

On The Tunnel by arhab

This has grown on me after several views.

That figure in the foreground grabs your attention as do the other figures.

There are technical issues that can be rescued to a degree.

Should the opportunity arise it would be well worth while taking more shots noting how the light is reflecting off the water that can fool even the best of camera meters.

I have done a mod using some tweaks in LR4 squeezing what detail there is in the background at the top half of the frame.

Journal deux

Cropping the base improved this for me.
Excellent use of lighting on an ever so simple set up.

Old Hall, Dalmally

Old Hall, Dalmally by GeorgeBuchan

Best buiding in Dalamaly, for a camera that is.
Done it myself but not sure about it being the old Hall as that is up by the rail station built in the same manner but difficult to photograph.
The "Hall" in question has a history that is somewhat mystical.

Such a shame that they had to add that hideous fire escape.

An interesting portfolio that consist of shots that reveal some thoughtful consideration with `I have measured` being one of those magic moments.
