Black Tailed Godwit

I wasn't going to upload this shot because of the quality, (too far away) but being as I had never seen one before....
There are only 50 or so nesting pairs in the UK. That is around the South East Estuaries. Hopefully get a better shot in the near future.

Irrespective of the noise, this is still a good shot. I had to look at the large shot, as I wasn't sure whether that was a wing or head plumage (actually looked like a hat at first).

It looks like it was taking off. Nice pose, well caught.

It certainly looks better large Kev, but nice to see it in it's natural habitat. Looking forward to a closeup view...get your waders on!!
