Speckled Wood Butterfly

By KevinMW
It's been a very long time since I posted any images to this site. Thought I'd start to use the site again a bit more. I have been through a number of phases in my Photography over the past few years and I am currently going through a Black & White Wildlife Phase. Here is a Speckled Wood Butterfly taken a couple of weeks ago at Llantarnam Ponds in Cwmbran, South Wales. I guess not everyone will like seeing wildlife shots in B&W but it's a little project I am currently working on. Nikon D7000 c/w Sigma F2.8 105mm Macro Lens.

Well, I like it Smile Sometimes it's good to flip people's expectations on their head once in a while ... and no, not everyone will warm to this because of it being in mono. But it's different and that makes it eye-catching in its own right.
