this is another few photos i took saturday morning on my walk round cowes

these cannons are sitting at the entrance to cowes and are used by the yacht club for starting and finishing yacht races by the club there is a total of 22 cannons in all they all work and you will often here them fire.

the lovely thing about them is they sit right on the sea wall where you can walk right past and see them and hear them (and yes they are very loud) in action

Nice try Martin, I would have used one of the other shots as the intro to the group here...Shooting into the sun, at any point, is never a good idea, and any an idea from me, is of course, easy to say after the shot...but...

I would have got closer to the guns in V3, and shot it as a tall shot, getting in as many of the guns, as I could, with a little separation on them through the wider lens that you have, you may have had to have stood on one of the first guns to have got the angle that I have in my minds eye, but I love these things, the same as you do.

Looking forward to the re shoot with interest.
