Its pretty yellow for an orange - sure it's not a lemon ? Smile

I'd crop away the lower part of the shot as that's not really the point of interest, yet holds much of the frame - and maybe some of the right for the same reason

I would have said a lemon too.

I can see how you maybe want to contrast the skin with the inside part, but I think you have got too much skin. It very much dominates the pic whereas the flesh is the more interesting part (cos that's the bit you eat).

Best wishes

I think your "messing about" has produced a good result. I'd like to have seen a little less shadow on the bottom part, but you have good light and detail on the fleshy bit. As an exercise, you could try all sorts of different angles on this, so that you begin to put your own style on it. In my modification, I cropped and added canvas to the top, then deepened the shadows to darken the background, and increased the highlights for the lemon flesh. I increased the saturation, adjusted levelsd and selectively sharpened the fleshy part of the fruit only. I then started to play with the background because the grey does very little to enhance the fruit. By selecting the grey with the magic wand, you can change the colour to whatever you like.
