Whats this global warming stuff---the wife wants the heating on --and its Mid June.

Snap shot of what a presume is a Damsil fly,these come in two shades, this or drab brown.Not sure make and model so someone please post the answer.

It is a damselfly-- a beauty-- Being in the USA, I do not have its name, but we have some that are similar-- Color differences may mean male and female!

I think this is a male Beautiful Demoiselle (Calopteryx virgo). I've seen a female, but not a male - aren't they gorgeous colours! You've caught this one perfectly!

This was actually hand held from about 12 foot away---then a slight crop from the right ,top and bottom to take it of the central.

iso 200 f6.3@1/160th sec.--The Lens has Image stabalizer so its a bit of a cheat.
