Clyde churn

By kim64
This is my first attempt at taking a picture of moving water - we had to take a trip to Lanark so decided to go along to the falls of Clyde as we thought the falls would be fantastic - unfortunatly Scottish Power had diverted a lot of the water for the power station so I didn't get the picture I had in mind. Ended up with this taken at a weir instead. Quite happy with it as I think that the shapes and shadows in the water come out okay

I like the lines, tones, framing, and sense of movement.

This is getting overlooked as you really have to see it large to appreciate it.
Composition, choice of shutter speed and exposure combine to a powerful image of water....out of the dark comes light.
Good stuff.
