Slave Huts

By kinfatric
These red slave huts can be seen on the island of Bonaire in the Carribean, harsh times back then. They have had a lick of paint from the parks authority.

Love the strong contrasts of the simple shapes and bold colours (and the extra decorative interest in V8Smile)

V1 and V7 particularly evocative - that glimpse through to the freedom of blue sky and sea.

First thought - the view through the window is a picture of its own.
Then I saw V2 and V7 - well... you don't need to be told. Smile
V13 holds some amazing colours,

all throughout the set some very nice images. I just wonder... the huts are so new. Are there still slaves on Jamaica??? Smile
Sorry for this daft question.

I recognised this as Red Slave from the thumbnail... Lovely collection of shots! They seem to have "done the rounds" with the paint pot recently - when I was there last June, White Slave" had been done as well.
