Grandad's Balls

By KingBee
The title is a literal translation from Italian. The 'balls' in question are sausages. Why they should be attributed to an elderly male relative whose balls, I should imagine, are more likely to resemble pickled walnuts, is quite beyond me. Maybe size increases with age (hasn't worked in my case!). Wink Norcia, Umbria, May 2007.

That's it from me for a while. Catch with up you all again soon, I expect.

I had forgotten that term. It appears to refer to the knobbly ones on the right - maybe there are dozens of pickled walnuts inside each sausage??

Well it certainly applies to my waistline...

Thought for a mo' that there was a garland of Haggis on a string on the left.
Except of course that Haggis don't grow that old - not round here, at any rate: we don't let them!
Fascinating!
